Description

The IATA Category 10 training course is designed for flight crew members, loadmasters, load planners and flight operations officers/flight dispatchers. The training course can be undertaken in your own time at your own pace. The training course includes the following sections of the dangerous goods regulations:

  • General philosophy
  • Limitations
  • List of dangerous goods
  • Labelling and marking
  • Recognition of undeclared dangerous goods
  • Storage and loading procedures
  • Pilots’ notification
  • Provisions for passengers and crew
  • Emergency procedures

The course consists of modules where students are required to complete a number of exercises achieving a score of at least 80%. Once the course is completed to a satisfactory level, students will be enrolled onto an online exam. Following successful completion of the examination, students will be issued with a training certificate valid for 24 months.
