Flight operations officers perform a critical oversight function in airline operations — they plan, monitor, and support flights from the ground. When dangerous goods are loaded on board, the flight operations officer must understand the implications for flight safety, verify that loading complies with regulatory and operator requirements, and ensure the flight crew is properly briefed via the NOTOC.
