Ground Handling Agent Dangerous Goods Training

Ground handling agents perform a critical safety function: they are often the last people to inspect a dangerous goods consignment before it is loaded onto an aircraft. Their responsibilities include accepting cargo, checking for damage or leakage, verifying documentation, and ensuring segregation requirements are met during loading.

Our ground handling agent training courses are designed for Category 5 and Category 6 personnel who accept, handle, and load dangerous goods consignments at airports and freight facilities. Training covers:

– The IATA acceptance checklist and how to apply it
– Inspecting packages for damage, leakage, and correct marking and labelling
– Understanding segregation and stowage requirements for different hazard classes
– Recognising hidden dangerous goods in general cargo
– Emergency response procedures for spills, leaks, and other incidents on the ramp
– The NOTOC (Notification to Captain) and pilot-in-command information requirements

All courses are CAA approved and delivered online. Learners can train around shift patterns and take the examination remotely.
